Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl, then add wet ingredients 1 by 1. Scraping bowl every now and then. Preheat oven to 375 f. Spoon tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, place sheet into preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden.

Fudge Brownies
Ingredients:

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
3 tsp vanilla extract, divided into 2
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
2 cups chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 f, grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl mix together melted butter, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk and 1 1/2 tsp of the vanilla; beat well. Stir in nuts (optional). Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Just before brownies are done, in heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and remaining vanilla together. Immediately spread over hot brownies. Let cool in pan on wired rack. Refridgerate. Cut into bars.
